Victor J. Ault

Victor J. Ault, 77, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. He was born Nov. 6, 1923, in Los Angeles. A resident for 11 years, he was a county government court clerk and a World War II Coast Guard veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Celia; one daughter, Patricia Ryan, and one son, Gary Ault, both of Las Vegas; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Graveside services will be noon Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Horatis Ray Barrett

Horatis Ray Barrett, 77, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 23, 1923, in Los Angeles. A resident for 12 years, he was a retired industrial gas mixer and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Marcella; one daughter, Wynn Brandon of Huntington Beach, Calif.; four stepsons, Steve Hess and Dan Hess, both of Illinois, Jerry Hess of Boulder City and David Hess of California; one brother, Robert Barrett of Auburn, Wash.; 16 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Eugene J. Cardoza Sr.

Eugene J. Cardoza Sr., 88, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 18, 1912, in San Francisco. A resident for seven years, he was a retired steelworker and a member of Show Folks of America.

He is survived by his wife, June; two sons, Eugene J. Cardoza Jr. of Vacaville, Calif., and David Neal Cardoza of Las Vegas; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Jeremy Shad Clifton

Jeremy Shad Clifton, 25, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born July 15, 1975, in Arkansas. A resident for 11 years, he was a self-employed carpet layer.

He is survived by his parents, Darwin and Darla; and three brothers, Brandon, Sean and Dylan.

Visitation is scheduled 2-4 p.m. today in Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Jewell A. Davis

Jewell A. Davis, 87, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. She was born April 20, 1913, in Joplin, Mo. A resident for 11 years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Roscoe; one son, Robert V. Moore of Las Vegas; five stepsons, Don Davis Sr. of Kentucky, Fritz Davis of Georgia, Greg Davis of Colorado, Tony Davis of Texas and Pat Davis of Wisconsin; one stepdaughter, B.J. Moehrke of Minnesota; 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling private arrangements.

Allen Russell Foster

Allen Russell Foster, 75, of Las Vegas died Nov. 16 in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 22, 1925, in St. Louis. A resident for six years, he was a trumpet player and an Army veteran.

He is survived by one daughter, Connie Michael, and one son, Dennis Foster, both of Las Vegas; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Illinois. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Isabelle Heger

Isabelle Heger, 66, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Dec. 5, 1933, in North Bergen, N.J. A resident for 35 years, she was a retired PBX operator.

She is survived by one son, Joseph V. Galbo, and one daughter, Renee C. Wolfman, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Eleanor Tuma of Illinois; and four grandchildren.

Thomas J. Heider

Thomas J. Heider, 33, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born June 12, 1965, in Manchester, England. A resident for 31 years, he was a city of Las Vegas civil engineer since 1989.

He is survived by his mother, Angela Heider of Paradise Valley, Ariz.; and one sister, Rebecca Heider of Phoenix.

Visitation is scheduled 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. services Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.

Lois A. Higgs, 83, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. She was born Sept. 8, 1917, in Missoula, Mont. A resident for 25 years, she was a homemaker and a member of Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile.

She is survived by her husband, B.J.; one son, Russell Sands of Aurora, Colo.; and two grandsons.

David Claude Holterman

David Claude Holterman, 67, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born April 28, 1933, in Rosendale, Wis. A resident for 27 years, he was a retired Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Doris M.; four daughters, Debra Romero of Simi Valley, Calif., Diane Barefield of Sebastian, Fla., Denise Holterman of Las Vegas and Dawn Sturm of Paradise, Utah; seven sisters, Joan Fude of Rosendale, Sandra Koening of Illinois, Kay Hernandez of Hayward, Calif., Wanda Pitt of Fond du Lac, Wis., Mary McCan of Ripon, Wis., Susan Kruger of New Berlin, Wis., and Ruth Bradley of Fort Myers, Fla.; and eight grandchildren.

Eugene J. Long

Eugene J. Long, 31, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local health care center. He was born March 24, 1932, in Boston. A resident for 16 years, he worked on the ramp service at Eastern Airlines for 20 years and was a Korean War Army airborne veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Eleanor; three sons, Eugene Long of Danvers, Mass., and Brian Long and Paul Long, both of Las Vegas; two daughters, Judith Hedden of Henderson and Patricia Sampson of Peabody, Mass.; one sister, Ann Fiore of Nahant, Mass.; and six grandchildren.

Maria Lorenzana

Maria Lorenzana, 56, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. A resident for 12 years, she was born May 28, 1944, in Mexico.

She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Lorenzana and Tame Lorenzana, and one son, Steve Cabrera, all of California; one sister, Elva Reyes of California and Delia Villarreal of Las Vegas; and six grandchildren.

Leroy M. Mace

Leroy M. Mace, 71, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born June 9, 1929, in Redwood Falls, Minn. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired bookkeeper and a Korean War Navy veteran.

He is survived by two sisters, Marjorie Bullock of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Jean Schmidt of Shoreview, Minn.

George E. Mimms, 85, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. He was born May 25, 1915, in Anthony, Fla. A resident for 65 years, he was an accountant at Anderson Dairy for more than 53 years.

He is survived by his wife, Eleanor; two daughters, Georgia Conatser of Winslow, Ariz., and Cynthia Fleming of Las Vegas; one sister, Beatrice Shephard of Williston, Fla.; two brothers, Duke Mimms of Gainesville, Fla., and Walter Mimms of Anthony, Fla.; and seven grandchildren.

Earl Edward Moore

Earl Edward Moore, 80, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born March 22, 1920, in Kansas City, Kan. A resident for 28 years, he was a surveyor for the Department of Defense and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Toni of Henderson and Pat of Casa Grande, Ariz.; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Ethel Morgan

Ethel Morgan, 74, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Jan. 26, 1926, in Columbus, Neb. A resident for 12 years, she was a retired systems analyst in the aerospace industry.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; three sons, Larry Morgan of Las Vegas, David Morgan of Apple Valley, Calif., and Tom Bullock of San Pedro, Calif.; one daughter, Mary Powers of San Ramon, Calif.; three sisters, Jo Tamburano and Lucille Campagana, both of Las Vegas, and Della Pillege of Grain Valley, Mo.; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Roy M. Myers, 77, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born March 2, 1923, in Iowa. A resident for 37 years, he was a master plumber, an Army veteran, a member of Plumber and Pipefitters Local 525 and the Moose.

He is survived by his wife, Avis; three daughters, Barbara Myers, Sandra Myers and Kathy Snyder, all of California; one brother, Fred Myers of Iowa Falls, Iowa; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Patrick Noriega

Patrick Noriega, 46, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 28, 1954, in Seattle. A resident for several years, he was a dealer, a Marine Corps veteran and a member of the Tae Kwon Do Federation.

He is survived by one daughter, Carissa Michelle Noriega of Altus, Ark.

Herbert Victor Pellechia, 77, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 31, 1922, in New York. A resident for 11 years, he was self-employed in the heating and air conditioning business and was an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Louise; one son, Victor Pellechia; and one daughter, Katherine Starr.

Vera Marie Pierce, 74, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. She was born June 26, 1926, in Illinois. A resident for six years, she was a hospice certified nursing assistant.

She is survived by one daughter, Bonnie Gottfried of Oregon; two sisters, Margaret Pierce and Barbara A. Franklin; and five grandchildren.

Janet Sue Piper, 63, of North Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. She was born June 1, 1937, in Parkersburg, W.Va. A resident for six years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Harold; one daughter, Belinda Corkrean of Leesburg, Fla.; five sisters, Virginia Murray of Westerville, Ohio, Maxine Alltop of Winter Haven, Fla., Doris Riffle of Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Helen Montgomery of Long Beach, Calif., and Nancy Bowersock of Belpre, Ohio; and three grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, C. Greg; two sons, Gregory B. Ramirez of Las Vegas and Christopher C. Ramirez of California; and one daughter, Joy L. Ramirez of Colorado.

She is survived by one son, Erol Yesin of Sunnyvale, Calif.; three daughters, anne Yesin, Emel Richardson and Katherine Lofthus, all of Las Vegas; one sister, Yuksel Giovannitti of Turkey; and six grandchildren.

Lillian J. Roberts, 92, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local convalescent center. She was born Oct. 26, 1908, in Ohio. A resident for six years, she was an administrator for the Los Angeles County Library.

She is survived by one daughter, Jeanette Yancy; one son, Cary Roberts; one sister, Margie Stewart; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Homer R. Rush Sr.

Homer R. Rush Sr., 78, of Henderson died Monday in a local hospice. He was born May 6, 1922, in Lyons, Kan. A resident for 43 years, he was a retired firefighter, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Moose and Eagles, both in Henderson.

He is survived by his wife, Erna Ruth; one daughter, Cherie Kozicki of Whittier, Calif.; one son, Homer R. Ruth Jr. of Pahrump; one brother, Les Rush of Wakeeney, Kan.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Max Schwab, 90, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 3, 1910, in the Bronx, N.Y. A resident for 33 years, he was a retired security officer.

He is survived by his wife, Gracie; three sons, all of California; one sister, Anna Palestine of Scarsdale, N.Y.; and one brother, Jerry Schwab of the Bronx, N.Y.

Rosalind Teeter, 84, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 4, 1916, in Painesville, Ohio. A resident for 27 years, she was a homemaker and was retired.

She is survived by two daughters, Donna Parr of Roscommon, Mich., and Jacqueline Marie Bates of Sterling Heights, Mich.; one sister, Florence Teeter of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Ernest James Thomas Sr., 60, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 14, 1940, in Beeville, Texas. A resident for 14 years, he was a retired spray painter in the construction industry.

He is survived by his wife, Sybil H.; one son, Ernest J. Thomas Jr. of Kailua, Hawaii; one daughter, Catherine R. Thomas of Las Vegas; his parents, Robert L. and Rose Catherine Shaw of Bandera, Texas; three brothers, Kenneth "Dale" Thomas of Lihue, Hawaii, Joe R. Shaw of Magna, Utah, and Gary D. Shaw of Cascade, Idaho; one sister, Janet D'Aquino of Bandera; and seven grandchildren.

William C. Tieman

William C. Tieman, 79, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 12, 1921, in Kalamazoo, Mich. A resident for 30 years, he was a painter and carpenter and a World War II Army and Air Force veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Delores; four daughters, Diane Tieman and Debra Tieman, both of California, Rose Ann Porter of New Mexico and Linda Gallardo of Arizona; two sons, William Tieman Jr. of Nevada and David Tieman of California; one brother, Harry B. Tieman of Illinois; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Indian Springs Baptist Church. Burial will be private. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Donald Tooley

Donald Tooley, 72, of Las Vegas died Saturday. He was born May 13, 1928, in Portland, Ore. He was an automotive salesman, an Army veteran, exalted ruler from 1992-1993 of Oceanlake Elks in Lincoln City, Ore., and active in the Salem and Lincoln County Ham Radio Club.

He is survived by his wife, Betty; one son, Brian of Salem, Ore.; one stepson, Bill Hitchman of Waldport, Ore.; one sister, DeVoe Wilson of Lincoln City; and one grandson.

Robert W. Voss

Robert W. Voss, 84, of Boulder City died Sunday in a local health care center. He was born May 26, 1916, in Schleswig, Iowa. A resident for 21 years, he was a retired automotive district manager and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; one son, James R. Voss of Penn Valley, Calif.; one daughter, Penny S. Jenkins of Sparks; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services were scheduled at 11 a.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson. Burial will be private.
