Valley Hospital will hold information session

A Home Health Care program will be held 1-2 p.m. Wednesday at Valley Hospital Medical Center, 620 Shadow Lane.

Ancient seashore will be highlighted

Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area offers hikes and walks free of charge, but reservations are required for all programs, which begin at the Visitor's Center. To make reservations or for information call 363-1922.

A coming program:

A Day at the (Ancient) Seashore: Ten-year-olds to adults can enjoy views of Red Rock Canyon while keeping a look out for marine fossils underfoot on this three-mile, moderately strenuous trail on Blue Diamond Hill Saturday.

Lifesaving donations are urgently needed

United Blood Services, 6930 W. Charleston Blvd., has scheduled blood drives at several locations for the following week. For more information, call 228-4483.

Philosopher Kant subject of talk

"Philosophy of Economics and Practical Freedom in Kant's Time and in Ours" will be the topic of this free lecture scheduled for 7:30-9 p.m. todayat UNLV.

Professor Claus Dierksmeier of the Institute for Philosophy at Friedrich Schiller University in Jena, Germany, will talk about various aspects of tGerman philosopher Immanuel Kant. The lecture is open to the public. For more information, call 895-3307.

Immunizations

Health District immunization clinics are open each week in Southern Nevada. Immunizations are provided without charge to children and young adults under the age of 21 in any of four public health centers and 15 satellite clinics. All Health District clinics will be closed Thursday and Friday in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. The following clinics will be open this week, Nov. 22-28:

DISTRICT HEALTH CENTER: 625 Shadow Lane, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

HENDERSON PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER: 129 W. Lake Mead Drive, Building A, Suite 10, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

EAST LAS VEGAS PUBLIC HEALTH CENTER: 560 N. Nellis Blvd., Suite E12, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

NORTH LAS VEGAS FAMILY HEALTH CENTER: 2225 Civic Center Drive, Suite 240C, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

EAST LAS VEGAS WIC OFFICE: 5701 Missouri Ave., 9 a.m.-noon and 1-3 p.m. Wednesday.

FREMONT MEDICAL CLINIC: 4880 S. Wynn Road, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday. Immunizations free to anyone who walks in.
