Thanksgiving in Las Vegas. Just about every hotel and restaurant will celebrate this favorite American holiday, offering both traditional and nontraditional fare in a variety of settings. Whatever your choice, be it a buffet or fine dining, the mood and the food promises to be wonderful.
Caesars' new Cafe Lago will feature both a holiday dinner buffet and a special turkey dinner served from noon-11 p.m. This is in addition to its regular 24-hour menu. The turkey dinner ($24.99) will include butternut squash soup, roasted turkey breast with sage stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, roasted corn cakes, whipped sweet potatoes and orange-cranberry compote. Dessert is a delicious warm pumpkin tarte with creme Chantilly. Cafe Lago's lunch/dinner holiday buffet is $19.99 per person; children under 12 half price. The just-opened 8-0-8 restaurant will feature a prix fixe traditional Thanksgiving dinner ($26) in addition to its regular menu of elegant Euro-Asian cuisine showcasing fresh seafood, 6-11 p.m. Dinner includes roast turkey breast, dark meat "lau lau," chestnut dressing and gooseberry sauce.
In addition to its Italian menu Terrazza will feature a traditional five-course dinner priced at $45 for lunch; $55, dinner. Terrazza is open for lunch 11:30 a.m.-3 p.m.; dinner, 5:30-11 p.m. Neros will add a special Thanksgiving dinner ($29) to its regular menu of steaks and seafood. Service is from 4:30-9:30 p.m. Caesars Magical Empire will feature a Thanksgiving dinner along with the other choices. Advance reservations are suggested for Terrazza, Neros, 8-0-8 and Caesars Magical Empire. Call 731-7731.
