Jennifer Capriati was added to the U.S. Fed Cup team today, replacing injured Chanda Rubin.
The selection by captain Billie Jean King means Capriati will join Lindsay Davenport, Monica Seles and Lisa Raymond for the Fed Cup World Finals Tuesday to Nov. 25 at the Mandalay Bay hotel-casino.
The United States plays Belgium in one semifinal on Wednesday. Spain and the Czech Republic play the other semifinal on Tuesday.
Capriati has a 9-3 lifetime record in Fed Cup play. She last played in 1996 against Austria and was a member of the American team that won the Cup in 1990. She is ranked No. 13 in the world.
