Big contract signed for card shufflers

Shuffle Master Inc. of Las Vegas announced it has signed a deal to lease 134 of its "King" continuous shufflers to casino operator MGM MIRAGE.

The order is Shuffle Master's largest for the shufflers to date, and brings the total number of King shufflers installed to 650. King shufflers have been installed at the Rio and Hard Rock in Las Vegas, as well as "multiple" casinos operated by Harrah's Entertainment Inc.

The King is a card shuffler that continuously shuffles cards while they are being dealt. It allows a game to be dealt with far more speed than a traditional shuffling machine would allow, and also defeats "card counting" by making it impossible to keep track of a deck.
