Two men get probation in Maui gambling ring

William "Billy Bettis and Kenneth "Beep Beep" Ogata, who pleaded guilty in the case, also were fined $5,000 and $9,000, respectively.
They were charged with operating the gambling operation out of the Department of Accounting and General Services office on Maui.
Others awaiting sentencing after pleading guilty are Francis Kahoohalahala, Shigeru Sano, Alan Murakami, Gordon Cockett and Sunao Takamiya.
