St. Jude’s Ranch counting on soup labels
Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2000 | 9:59 a.m.
If St. Jude's Ranch can collect enough Campbell's Soup Company labels, it will earn a minivan that will be used to take children to and from school, appointments and extracurricular activities.
But first, St. Jude's must collect 1.1 million labels. During the past few months the ranch in Boulder City for displaced children has received more than 800,000. The goal is to collect the rest by Christmas.
Five older vans are currently used to get 70 children around town. All five were earned through the soup label program.
Other products also have eligible labels or UPC symbols, including Franco American gravies and canned pastas, Pepperidge Farm soups and bread products, Prego pasta sauce and V-8 juices.
Labels can be sent to St. Jude's Ranch for Children, 100 St. Jude St., Boulder City, NV 89005.
