Anne Barnett

Anne Barnett, 46, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospice. She was born July 3, 1954, in San Pedro, Calif. A resident for six months, she was a retired executive secretary in the aerospace industry.

She is survived by her husband, Dan; one son, Mark Barnett, and her parents, Rito and Dolores Avila, all of Las Vegas; and two sisters, Chris Garcia of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Eileen Yescas of Long Beach, Calif.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Skip Bokamper

Skip Bokamper, 55, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. He was born May 24, 1945, in Omaha, Neb. A resident for five years, he was a pinsetter mechanic for Sam's Town Bowling Center for five years, a Navy veteran, a member of the Moose for 30 years, active in the Boy Scouts of America and the Special Olympics and was an advocate for the mentally challenged and disabled.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly; three sons, Joseph F. Bokamper and Jason J. Bokamper, both of Las Vegas, and Richard Bokamper of California; one daughter, Diane Renne Munson of California; his parents, Floyd and Eileen Bokamper; one brother, Charles L. Bokamper of California; and six grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled noon-8 p.m. Thursday in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

Arthur Herbert Brady

Arthur Herbert Brady, 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 20, 1925, in Churubusco, N.Y. A resident for one year, he was a retired Clark County School District teacher and a member of Senior Friends.

He is survived by his wife, Lila; one daughter, Jean Fairchild of St. Albans, Vt.; one son, Michael Brady of Malone, N.Y.; and one grandchild.

Larry W. Branch

Larry W. Branch, 70, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born June 30, 1930, in Eclectic, Ala. A resident for four years, he was a retired produce manager.

He is survived by his wife, Judy; one daughter, Laurie Patterson of Las Vegas; two sons, Steve Branch of Las Vegas and Randy Branch of Pensacola, Fla.; one brother, James Branch of Alabama; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave.

Horace G. Brown

Horace G. Brown, 68, of Las Vegas died Nov. 8 in Las Vegas. He was born July 5, 1932, in Newport News, Va. A resident for 42 years, he was a retired hotel showroom captain and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Dottie Dunlap; three daughters, Vikki Jones of Long Beach, Miss., Schree Bell of Shreveport-Bossier, La., and Chanel Bowie of Las Vegas; one sister, Delores Johnson of Hampton, Va.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Marie Ruth Butler

Marie Ruth Butler, 86, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in North Las Vegas. A homemaker, she was born April 29, 1914, in Vicksburg, Miss.

She is survived by her husband, Cary; one son, Karl E. Butler of North Las Vegas; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-6 p.m. Friday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Bunkers Chapel. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road.

Magnolia 'Maggie' Canterbury

Magnolia "Maggie" Canterbury, 80, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 25, 1919, in Forest, Miss. A resident for 18 years, she was a retired tire manufacturer.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda Toliver of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Lynn G. Cole

Lynn G. Cole, 60, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospice. A horse trainer, she was born March 3, 1940, in Bakersfield, Calif.

She is survived by her husband, Joe; one son, James Stickler; one stepson, Scott Peters; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Larry Branco and Courtney Cole; and five grandchildren.

Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Kim Dobos

Kim Dobos, 45, of Las Vegas died Nov. 2 in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 8, 1955, in Michigan. A resident for five years, she was an assistant manager at a paperback exchange.

She is survived by her husband, Jim; one son, Slater Demsmore of Ontica, Mich.; her mother, Jean Chatterton of Las Vegas; and two brothers, Jeff Chatterton of Las Vegas and Paul Chatterton of Torrance, Calif.

Harold H.J. Erickson

Harold H.J. Erickson, 69, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 22, 1931, in Dollar Bay, Mich. A resident for 35 years, he was a retired library director, a Korean War Army veteran, a member of the American Library Association, Women's Historical Society of Nevada and American Food Servers and Caterers Association.

He is survived by his companion, Hans J. Ring of Las Vegas; and one brother, Robert Erickson of Bloomington, Ill.

James Parrish Estill

James Parrish Estill, 80, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 1, 1920, in Petersburg, Ill. A resident for 27 years, he was a welding supplier.

He is survived by one son, Edward E. Estill of Kansas; three daughters, Loretta Beams, Georgia Ann Courtney and Carol J. Hopkins, one brother, Charles Estill, and one sister, Abbie Monier, all of Illinois; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will be private.

Robert P. Grijalva

Robert P. Grijalva, 74, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born May 27, 1926, in Calapatria, Calif. A resident for 20 years, he was a retired farm worker and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Gloria Molina of Los Banos, Calif., and Mary Ann Esparza of San Jose, Calif.; two sons, Robert Grijalva Jr. of San Jose and Alex Grijalva of San Pedro, Calif.; three sisters, Amelia Grijalva, Carmen Grijalva and Ramona San Miguel, all of San Jose; four brothers, Gilbert Grijalva and Tony Grijalva, both of San Jose, Rudy Grijalva of Las Vegas and Raphael Grijalva of Santa Barbara, Calif.; 11 grandchildren and four grandchildren.

Melvina Hoard

Melvina Hoard, 103, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born March 23, 1897, in Georgia. A resident for many years, she was a dress shop saleswoman.

She is survived by one daughter, Henrietta Thomas of North Las Vegas.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Los Angeles. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Margaret G. Holzman

Margaret G. Holzman, 84, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 21, 1916, in Minneapolis. A resident for three years, she was a retired executive secretary in the construction industry.

She is survived by two sons, Dewey Dorough of Las Vegas and Mike Dorough of Portland, Ore.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Thursday in Palm Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St., is handling arrangements.

Roy Jones

Roy Jones, 62, of Henderson died Saturday in Henderson. He was born July 8, 1938, in California. A resident for many years, he was a programmer analyst in the computer industry and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia; two sons, David Kulak of San Diego and Mike Kulak of California; two daughters, Debbie Jones and Debbie Kulak, both of Henderson; and nine grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will be private.

Paul W. May Jr.

Paul W. May Jr., 72, of North Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 2, 1928, in Hot Springs, Va. A resident for 57 years, he was a real estate agent and broker, a member of the Elks, Democratic Club and Masons.

He is survived by one son, Paul W. May III of Las Vegas; two daughters, Sandra K. Torres of Texas and April A. Phillips of North Las Vegas; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Thursday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Barbara 'Barbi' McGhee

Barbara "Barbi" McGhee, 34, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Oct. 11, 1966, in Rome, N.Y. A resident for five years, she was an entrepreneur.

She is survived by her husband, Douglas John; her parents, Patricia and Frederick Wilson, one brother, Bill Wilson, and her grandmother, Margaret Bursiel, all of Las Vegas.

Charles H. Nigash, 76, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. He was born Oct. 14, 1924, in Canada. A resident for 11 years, he was a retired security officer for private companies.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce; two sons; two daughters; two stepsons; and five grandchildren.

A. Duane Oaks, 60, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born May 3, 1940, in Rapid City, S.D. A resident for 36 years, he was a retired Eldorado High School teacher and a member of the American Federation of Teachers.

He is survived by his wife, Adrienne Revell; one daughter, Amy Oaks Johnson; one son, Dow Oaks; one stepdaughter, Amanda Revell; one stepson, Travis Revell; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Nannie Griffis Robarts

Nannie Griffis Robarts, 100, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born Sept. 13, 1900, in Whitesprings, Fla. A resident for 48 years, she was retired, was a homemaker and a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

She is survived by one daughter, Margaret Edwards, and one son, John Robarts, both of Las Vegas; 22 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in Palm Chapel, Main. Graveside services will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Mary Dee Shaw

Mary Dee Shaw, 91, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born June 15, 1909, in Carthage, Texas. A resident for 59 years, she was a retired hairdresser and oldest church mother at St. Paul Church of God in Christ.

She is survived by one daughter, Bennie R. Johnson of Las Vegas; five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 33 great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 3-6 p.m. Tuesday in the Meadows Room at Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 10 a.m. Nov. 22 in Greater St. Paul Church of God in Christ, 911 N. G St. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Marion A. Smith

Marion A. Smith, 78, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 4, 1922, in Chicago. A resident for 13 years, she was a retired office manager for a collection agency.

She is survived by one daughter, Janice Craven of Chicago; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services were scheduled at 1 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial followed in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Greta V. Thomas

Greta V. Thomas, 70, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 6, 1930, in Santa Barbara, Calif. A resident for 40 years, she was a homemaker and a former member of Beta Sigma Phi.

She is survived by her husband, Edison A. Thomas Jr. and Trevor Thomas, both of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 2-4 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Graveside services will be 9:30 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.
