LAKE MEAD: Striped bass fishing took a turn for the better early Sunday morning as fish up to 20 pounds were being taken with surface lures at Government Wash, Hemenway Harbor and Pumphouse Cove. The fish were chasing rainbow trout that were stocked from Lake Mead Hatchery on Thursday.
The good fishing for channel catfish that was found recently in the Overton Arm may have come to an end as none were seen at Overton Beach Marina over the weekend.
Trout are scheduled to be stocked Friday at B-5 Cove, Government Wash, Hemenway Harbor and Horsepower Cove.
