Letter: Make developers pay for growth
Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2000 | 10:40 a.m.
Although many may think, correctly, that the Henderson Police Department is doing a great job, I'm sure many felt as I felt. Why do we, the taxpayers, have to fund the expenses for the needed additional infrastructure? We have had very good coverage before all the growth.
I think the developers should be required to fund the needed extras. They are the ones profiting from the growth.
Many people on fixed incomes, who have lived in Henderson for years, are being unfairly required to pay for shortages caused by this growth. Isn't it time to put a cap on growth in the valley?
