Larry Allmendinger

Larry Allmendinger, 49, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 12, 1950, in Bismarck, N.D. A resident for 22 years, he was a hotel operating engineer and a Vietnam War Army veteran.

He is survived by one son, Robert Vinicky of Ohio; his mother, Lorraine Allmendinger of Bismarck; one brother, Bill Allmendinger of La Vista, Neb.; two stepsisters, Maryanne Spier of Florida and Betty Binder of North Dakota; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Wednesday in Central Christian Church, 3415 S. Mojave Road. Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.

Darin W. Bartzack

Darin W. Bartzack, 30, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. He was born Sept. 27, 1970, in Burbank, Calif. A resident for five years, he was active in the Special Olympics and won the bronze medal in 1988 for swimming.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Donna and Pete Peterson of Las Vegas; his father and stepmother, William and Valerie Bartzack of Ventura, Calif.; his two grandmothers, Mary Blackburn of Valencia, Calif., and Sarah Bartzack of Canyon Country, Calif.; and his step-grandparents, James and Tiny Sue Smith of Las Vegas.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in International Church of Las Vegas, 8100 Westcliff Drive. Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Paul J. Baur

Paul J. Baur, 64, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. He was born Oct. 9, 1936, in New York City. A resident for four years, he was a retired real estate resident manager and a Marine Corps veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Donna; three daughters, Kristine Baur of Seattle, Shirley Hines of Cohasset, Minn., and Linda Koski of Anoka, Minn.; three sons, Kurt Baur of Seattle and James Lind and John Lind, both of Eveleth, Minn; one sister, Margaret Baur of Wilmington, N.C.; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

The family suggests donations to the Nathan Adelson Hospice, 4141 S. Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119, or the Marine Corps League Greater Nevada Detachment.

Julius 'Bo' Bozinski

Julius "Bo" Bozinski, 72, of Las Vegas died Nov. 4 in Las Vegas. A longtime resident, he was born May 27, 1928, in New York.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Sunday at the home of the deceased. Valley Memorial Crematory, 745 W. Sunset Road, No. 16, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

David Lee Dixon

David Lee Dixon, 61, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born July 16, 1939, in Salt Lake City. A resident for 25 years, he was a truck driver and an Air Force veteran.

He is survived by nine children; two brothers, Leroy Dixon and Carl R. Dixon, both of Lincoln City, Ore.; and one sister, Toni Teresi of Woodland Hills, Calif.

Services will be private. Burial will be in Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Adley Dallas Fautin

Adley Dallas Fautin, 25, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born April 16, 1975, in Ogden, Utah. A resident for many years, he was a restaurant kitchen manager.

He is survived by his father, Dallas Marion Fautin of Utah; and his mother, Judy Fautin of Las Vegas.

No local services are scheduled. Burial will be in Utah. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Joanne 'Suzie' Hynes

Joanne "Suzie" Hynes, 42, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. She was born Aug. 28, 1958, in New York. A resident for 26 years, she was a housekeeping department supervisor at MountainView Hospital, a member of the Humane Society, American Civil Liberties Union, Holocaust Memorial Museum and Amnesty International.

She is survived by her companion, John Gage of Las Vegas; and one brother, James Hynes of Berkeley, Calif.

Arvin K. League

Arvin K. League, 63, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born April 21, 1937, in Perry, Okla. A resident for 22 years, he was a carpenter and a Navy veteran who served on the USS Salisbury Sound and pioneered deep-sea diving in the Navy.

He is survived by two sons, Troy League of Overton and Blayne League of Las Vegas; one daughter, Alisa Haboush, and one sister, Julie League, both of Las Vegas; and one brother, Dale League of Tulsa, Okla.

Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Ora A. 'Midge' Merryman

Ora A. "Midge" Merryman, 74, of Las Vegas died Nov. 7 in a local hospital. A resident for 37 years, she was born April 9, 1926, in Little Rock, Ark.

She is survived by her husband, Add; two daughters, Rosalee Tow of Amarillo, Texas, and Darlene Esser of Las Vegas; three sons, Anthony Bellomo, Johnny Bellomo and Gregory Bellomo, all of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 8:30 p.m. today in Sun City Community Church, 8560 Del Webb Blvd. Neptune Society of Nevada, 8570 Del Webb Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Donna J. Moats

Donna J. Moats, 56, of Pahrump died Saturday in Pahrump. She was born Nov. 30, 1943, in Henderson. A resident of Las Vegas, Henderson, Elko and Pahrump for 40 years, she was a hotel waitress.

She is survived by her husband, Johnny; one daughter, Tanna Thompson of Henderson; one son, Ross Matys, and her stepmother, Cletta Garrison, both of Las Vegas; one sister, Delight Chael of Tracy, Calif.; two brothers, Kenneth Guski of North Las Vegas and Edward Guski of Las Vegas; and four grandchildren.

Heidi Klara Morales

Heidi Klara Morales, 41, of North Las Vegas died Wednesday in North Las Vegas. She was born June 30, 1959, in New Jersey. A resident for 25 years, she was a telephone operator and a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Jesus Morales Jr. and Julio F. Morales, her mother, Margaret Elliott, and one sister, Susan Sieger, all of Las Vegas; and four brothers, Paul Elliott, Jack Elliott and Gene Elliott, all of Las Vegas, and William Elliott of Dallas.

Boleslaw Orlewicz

Boleslaw Orlewicz, 70, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a local hospital. He was born July 19, 1930, in Bydgoszcz, Poland. A resident for seven months, he was a land surveyor with the city government.

He is survived by his wife, Bozena; two sons, Mariusz and Pawel Orlewicz, one daughter, Malgorzata Lewandowska, all of Poland; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Andrew W. Peeples

Andrew W. Peeples, 36, of Henderson died Friday in Spring Valley. He was born July 20, 1964, in Boulder City. A lifelong resident, he was a construction worker.

He is survived by his wife, Michelle; three sons, Michael Kirkwood, Steven Kirkwood and Christopher Peeples, his mother, Marie Seegmiller, and his father, Jackson Peeples, all of Henderson; five brothers, Roger Peeples and John Peeples, both of Henderson, Riley Peeples of North Las Vegas, Daniel Peeples of Barstow, Calif., and Nathan Peeples of California; and two sisters, Jenny Cote of North Las Vegas and Susan Ward of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. services Wednesday in the LDS Cholla Street chapel. Burial will follow in Boulder City Cemetery, 501 Adams Blvd. Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Tapelu Pusi

Tapelu Pusi, 54, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 7, 1945, in American Samoa. A resident for six years, he was a retired Vietnam War Army infantryman.

He is survived by his wife, Lagituaiva; seven sons, Tapelu "Junior" Levu and Johnny "Boy" Garcia, both of Honolulu, Tapelu "Sam" Pusi Jr. of American Samoa and Marino "Ben" Garcia, Telley Pusi, Tuapo "Tiger" Pusi and Lionel Pusi, all of Las Vegas; eight daughters, Magnolia "Maggie" Tupua, Sola "Via" Pusi, Agnes "T" Pusi and Vapee Pusi, all of Las Vegas, Aofia "Fia" Pusi of San Francisco, Paula Garcia of Honolulu, Jeanette "Netta" Pusi of Denver and Christinia Pusi of San Diego; and 37 grandchildren.

Barbara Rick

Barbara Rick, 67, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born May 20, 1933, in San Francisco. A resident for three years, she was a communications supervisor.

She is survived by one daughter, Kathleen Codman of Sun Valley; two brothers, George Selland and Ray Selland, both of San Francisco; one sister, Donna Griffin of Angels Camp, Calif.; and one grandchild.

Reno A. Santori

Reno A. Santori, 70, of Las Vegas died Wednesday in Las Vegas. He was born April 11, 1930, in Los Angeles. A resident for seven years, he was a retired salesman in the sporting goods industry and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Frances V.; one daughter, Yolanda Ruffu of Meridian, Wash.; two brothers, Gulio Santori of Washington state and Aldo Santori of Northridge, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Arthur J. Smith Jr.

Arthur J. Smith Jr., 77, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born May 27, 1923, in Wakefield, Mass. A resident for 17 years, he was a World War II Navy veteran, a member of the American Legion Post in Wakefield and Gold Searchers of Southern Nevada.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Marjorie; two daughters, Gayle Parker and Peggy Smith, both of Las Vegas; one son, Arthur Smith III of Mukilteo, Wash.; one brother, Donald J. Smith of Seattle; three sisters, Hazel Butler of Boulder City and Alice Bruto and Jeanne Hartford, both of Las Vegas; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 4-7 p.m. today in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Douglas Wayne White

Douglas Wayne White, 53, of North Las Vegas died Wednesday in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 13, 1947, in Los Angeles. A resident for 20 years, he was a chef.

He is survived by two sisters, Pam Potter of Anaheim, Calif., and Beverly Irene Demura of Perris, Calif.

A memorial service will be 6 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Nicki 'Shelia' Worden

Nicki "Shelia" Worden, 53, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born May 3, 1947, in Germany. A resident for 24 years, she was a wardrobe supervisor at Paris Las Vegas and the Orleans.

She is survived by her companion, Karen Brunett of Las Vegas; one daughter, Sherri Sturlaugson of Fargo, N.D.; her stepmother, Biddy Harris of San Antonio; and three grandchildren.

Services will be 7 p.m. today in Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd. Burial will be private.
