At Esotero, Fla., the UNLV golf team dropped its final-round match to No. 2 Georgia, 4.5-0.5, at the College Golf Foundation Match Play Team Championships at the West Bay Club on Sunday.
Freshman Travis Whisman was the only Rebel to earn a score for his team, breaking even against the Bulldogs' Ryan Hybl over 18 holes to score UNLV's half-point.
James Oh was UNLV's next closest threat, but surrendered the final hole to Bryant Odom to fall 2-up.
Despite the loss, UNLV earns fourth place at the Match Play Team Championships, which featured six teams ranked in the nation's top seven.
Sunday's round concluded the Rebels' fall season. They will resume play in the spring at the John A. Burns Intercollegiate in Honolulu on Feb. 21.
