Henderson plans themed activities

The Henderson Parks and Recreations Department is hosting three holiday-themed events at the following times and locations:

A turkey shoot will be held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Black Mountain Recreation Center, 599 Greenway Road. A basketball shootout will be held 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Silver Springs Recreation Center, 1951 Silver Springs Parkway. A turkey bowling contest will be held 5-8 p.m. Nov. 21. Participants will be grouped accordingly. Call 565-2121.

Convenient locations planned around valley

United Blood Services, 6930 W. Charleston Blvd., has scheduled blood drives this week at several locations in Southern Nevada.

Conference scheduled to discuss changes

A one-day conference on the changing tax structure in Clark County is planned 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Nov. 30.
