StumblePahrump residents want city status

The advisory question on Tuesday's ballot recommended Pahrump be incorporated as the city of Pahrump Valley.
According to the Nye County Clerk's Office, 5,586 residents voted against incorporation and 3,695 voted for it.
If the measure had passed, Nye County's lawmakers were expected to propose incorporation legislation in the state Assembly. That now appears unlikely.
