Letter: Rebels can’t win big ones
Friday, Nov. 10, 2000 | 1:59 a.m.
It was great that Dean Juipe mentioned all of the big losses the UNLV basketball team had last year but how could he miss the most embarrassing one of all time? At Utah last year we lost by 45 points. Once Kaspars Kambala is gone, this team will be pathetic. And we will only be average with him this season.
Bill Bayno does not have what it takes to put UNLV back in the Top 25 on a consistent basis. It is time for someone in the press to start putting pressure on the UNLV administration.
We will not beat Cincinnati, Illinois, Oklahoma State or Georgetown this season. And we will finish in fourth place in the Mountain West Conference.
