The UNLV golf team has received a national letter of intent from Ryan Moore, a senior at Cascade Christian High in Puyallup, Wash., head coach Dwaine Knight announced Wednesday.
Moore is an American Junior Golf Association All-American and was the runner-up in the prestigious U.S. Junior Amateur. He is currently the 17th-ranked amateur by Golfweek magazine among U.S. boys.
"We feel he is really a quality individual with tremendous opportunity to be an outstanding player," Knight said. "He's got experience in winning and he's very focused, dedicated and committed. He has really improved in a year, has worked hard to become stronger physically and worked on his golf game. I think he has a bright future."
