A. Frances Abamonte
A. Frances Abamonte, 83, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. A resident for 25 years, she was born July 11, 1917, in New York.
She is survived by one daughter, Rosemary Britanik-McGuire of Las Vegas; three brothers, Sal Platania, Tony Platania and Joe Platania, all of New York; one sister, Rose Thomas of California; and one grandchild.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Viator Catholic Church, 2461 E. Flamingo Road. Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home, 6200 S. Eastern Ave., is handling arrangements.
Stanley Joseph Barnotes
Stanley Joseph Barnotes, 82, of Henderson died Tuesday in Henderson. He was born May 7, 1918, in Illinois. A resident for four years, he was a retired automobile mechanic and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Mary L.; two sons, Michael Barnotes of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Thomas Barnotes of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; one daughter, Mary Rose Barnotes of Henderson; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Ada Marie Brown
Ada Marie Brown, 84, of Las Vegas died Nov. 1 in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 28, 1915, in Vidalia, La. A resident for 47 years, she was a preschool teacher, a member of the Pilgrim Christian Society and Eastern Star and mother at Second Baptist Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Alma Dean Banks and Patricia McNealy-Brown, both of Las Vegas and Sandra Austin of Lancaster, Calif.; two sons, Charles Harbor and Kevin Brown, both of Las Vegas; two brothers, Roosevelt Anderson of San Francisco and Carey Anderson of Las Vegas; one sister, Vivian Evers of Portland, Ore.; 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 3-8 p.m. Friday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Second Baptist Church, 500 W. Madison Ave. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Tony Buonomo
Tony Buonomo, 65, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 21, 1935, in Ashtabula, Ohio. A resident for 30 years, he owned a vacuum cleaner business.
He is survived by his wife, Hoang; one daughter, Jennifer Buonomo-Shephard, one son, Tommy Buonomo, one brother, John Buonomo, and one sister, Myra Wellman, all of Las Vegas.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Cliff Canfield
Cliff Canfield, 40, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born April 20, 1960, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a service writer for an automobile dealership.
He is survived by his wife, Julie; four sons, Sean Canfield, Travis Canfield, Wade Canfield and Dylan Canfield, one stepson, Patrick Cunningham, one stepdaughter, Kay Cunningham, and his father and stepmother, Stanley and Sandra Thomas, all of Las Vegas; two brothers, Robert Thomas of Germany and Stanley Thomas of Las Vegas; one stepbrother, Michael Rapp, and two stepsisters, Debra Manor and Susan Thomas, both of Las Vegas.
Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., is handling private arrangements.

Robert T. Close
Robert T. Close, 74, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. He was born April 4, 1926, in St. Joseph, Mo. A resident for 17 years, he was a concrete business owner.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; two daughters, Roby Clubine of Flagstone, Mo., and Ruth Lamp of Pahrump; and one sister, Deloris Engstrom of Fountain Valley, Calif.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial will be private.
Chester Coble
Chester Coble, 81, of Las Vegas died Friday in Indian Springs. He was born Nov. 9, 1918, in Idaho. A resident for three years, he was a keno writer and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Maxine; and one sister, Irene.

Edna A. Fournier
Edna A. Fournier, 83, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born June 27, 1917, in Buffalo, N.Y. A resident for 40 years, she was a retired casino cashier, a member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League, Las Vegas High Rollers, Glitter Gulch and Good Samanthas chapter of the Good Sam RV Club.
She is survived by one son, Philip Fournier of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled noon until 1 p.m. services Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Pamela Franco
Pamela Franco, 39, of North Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born Nov. 29, 1960, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Gilbert; two sons, Joshua Franco of Las Vegas and David Hoff of Lovelock; three daughters, Heather Hoff, Sarah Swanberg and Mary Swanberg, her mother, Helen Jerome, and one sister, Brandy Luna, all of Las Vegas; and one grandchild.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Friday in Echo of Faith Church, 1404 E. Washington Ave. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
W. Lee 'Bill' Gann
W. Lee "Bill" Gann, 81, of Boulder City died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Nov. 29, 1918, in Austin, Texas. A resident for 27 years, he was a retired minister.
He is survived by his wife, Elsie R.; one son, Taylor Lee Gann of Green Valley Lake, Calif.; two sisters; one brother; and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Friday in the First Church of the Nazarene, 3825 Pecos McLeod Interconnect. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.
James G. Hatter
James G. Hatter, 84, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 9, 1916, in Poplar Hill, Ky. A resident for 50 years, he was a shift boss at the Thunderbird and Hilton hotels and a Navy veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Faye; one daughter, Ginger Smith of Las Vegas; one brother, Bobby Hatter of Lexington, Ky.; two sisters, Velma Russell and Thelma Reynolds, both of Cincinnati; and three grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Nancy N. Hope
Nancy N. Hope, 64, of Las Vegas died Oct. 18 in a local care center. She was born Jan. 1, 1936, in Canada. A resident for 30 years, she was a food server at Fitzgerald's hotel.
She is survived by one son, Bradley Hope, one daughter, Allison Hope, and her mother, Sally Hope, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Johnny Macko of Manitoba; four sisters, Marion Frisch of Seattle and Olga Bobbee, Pauline Marko and Margaret Batenchuk, all of Manitoba; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Charlene Y. Kiper
Charlene Y. Kiper, 41, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born March 30, 1959, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by five children, Cali Kiper, Laron Kiper, Michael Kiper, Marcus Kiper and Hakeem Kiper, and her mother, Margie Kiper, all of North Las Vegas; and one brother, Mayfield Allen Kiper of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled 3-5 p.m. today in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in American Burial and Cremation Services. Burial will follow in Paradise Memorial Gardens.

Joanne A. Levan, 59, of Edgewater, Md., died Tuesday in Edgewater. She was born Jan. 11, 1941, in Rehrersburg, Pa. A former Las Vegas resident, she was a receptionist for the Department of Justice in Las Vegas, office manager for the deputy director of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency in Washington, D.C., and team leader for the oil lease analysis team at Phillips Petroleum in Bartlesville, Okla.
She is survived by her husband, Richard; two sons, Deke Swisher of Sinking Spring, Pa., and Mark Brady of Arnold, Md.; one daughter, Rhonda Levan-Foster of Edgewater; three stepchildren, Lee Levan of Wyomissing, Pa., John Levan of Oley, Pa., and Mary Ann Ycas of Hockessin, Del., her father, Raymond Shalters of Robesonia, Pa.; three brothers, Donald Shalters and Kenneth Shalters, both of Wernersville, Pa., and Larry Shalters of Bernville, Pa.; and 10 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Dec. 2 in Community Lutheran Church, 3720 E. Tropicana Ave. George P. Kalas Funeral Home, Edgewater, is handling arrangements.

Jaime Madrid, 23, of North Las Vegas died Monday in North Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 9, 1977, in Mexico. A resident for 10 years, he was a plasterer.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda; one son, Jaime Madrid Jr. of Las Vegas; his mother, Hilda Rodriguez of North Las Vegas; his father, Carlos Madrid of Douglas, Ariz.; five sisters, Lucila Castello, Alma Cordon and Juana Vizcarra, all of Las Vegas, Patty Campa of Phoenix and Carmen Rodriguez of Mexico; four brothers, Carlos Madrid, Armando Madrid, Luis Madrid and Jorge Madrid, and his two grandmothers, Juana Rodriguez and Elvira Martinez, all of Las Vegas.
Services were scheduled at noon today in Hites Funeral Services, 438 W. Sunset Road, Henderson. Burial followed in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Katie Massington, 83, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local care center. She was born Sept. 17, 1917, in Mississippi. A resident for 30 years, she was a retired hotel housekeeper.
Services were scheduled 1-2 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Graveside services followed in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Philip J. Pandolph Jr.
Philip J. Pandolph Jr., 76, of Henderson died Friday in a local health care center. He was born Sept. 1, 1924, in Vanderbelt, Pa. A former Las Vegas resident for 30 years and most recently a Henderson resident for two years, he was a retired apartment property manager, a World War II Army veteran and a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3848 in Henderson.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria; one daughter, Eleanor Keady of Henderson; two sons, Phillip Pandolph of Greensburg, Pa., and Dominic Pandolph of Henderson; one sister, Jenny Ameris of New Kensington, Pa.; one brother, Frank Pandolph of Grapeville, Pa.; five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd., is handling arrangements.
James W. Poster
James W. Poster, 59, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Feb. 16, 1941, in New York City. A resident for 31 years, he was a retired hotel bartender.
He is survived by one son, Joe Poster of Las Vegas; one brother, Bill Poster of Connecticut; and two grandchildren.

Joseph Stanley Pyzik
Joseph Stanley Pyzik, 87, of Henderson died Monday in a local health care center. He was born March 15, 1913, in Chicago. A resident for 25 years, he was a postal worker, a member of Sons of Italy and a volunteer at the Henderson Senior Center.
He is survived by one son, Ronald Pyzik of Washington state; two brothers, Walter J. Pyzik of Las Vegas and Roman Pyzik of Willowbrook, Ill.; and two grandchildren.

Helen L. Staples, 73, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospice. She was born July 11, 1927, in Camden, N.J. A resident for three years, she was a nurse's aide.
She is survived by two sons, James Staples of Las Vegas and Charles Staples of Moreno Valley, Calif.; one brother, Albert Fischer of Las Vegas; one sister, Eleanore Matznick of Pennsauken, N.J.; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
No local services are scheduled. Services and burial will be in California. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Suzanne Rose Stevens
Suzanne Rose Stevens, 66, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born June 21, 1934, in Rochester, N.Y. A resident for seven years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Sr.; one son, Paul Stevens Jr. of San Diego; one daughter, Michelle Stevens of Ramona, Calif.; two sisters, Bess Depeters of New York state and Josephine Costanza of New Jersey; and five grandchildren.

April Thurn, 21, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born Sept. 30, 1979, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, she was a restaurant hostess.
She is survived by her parents, Vicki and William Thurn, and one sister, Jocelyn Thurn, all of Las Vegas; and her grandparents, Evonne and Harold Klusman of Las Vegas and Charles Thurn of San Antonio.

Rosa L. Virgil, 59, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 15, 1940, in Louisiana. A resident for several years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Sandra F. Reed and Jacquelyn Toldson, and two sons, Anthony Virgil and Darwin Virgil, all of Las Vegas; three sisters, Queen Ester Burrell of Las Vegas, Mattie Lee Claiborne of Milwaukee and Annie Mae Giles of New Orleans; three brothers, Narcis Guy and Oscar Cooper, both of Tallulah, La., and David Cooper of New Orleans; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
