Agassi wins in three sets

Las Vegan Andre Agassi rallied past qualifier and occasional doubles partner Sargis Sargsian 6-7 (3), 6-1, 6-4 in the first round of the $800,000 Lyon Grand Prix.
In another opening match, qualifier Raemon Sluiter downed fourth-seeded Alex Corretja, the 1998 champion.
Also, ninth-seeded Chanda Rubin beat Amy Frazier 6-2, 2-6, 6-3; Nicole Pratt downed Ai Sugiyama; and Alexandra Stevenson retired after the first set against Daniela Hantuchova because of a right hamstring strain.
