Gore 44,139,651 - 48 percent
Has won 17 states including the District of Columbia with 237 ev.
Leads in 2 states with 12 ev.
Bush 44,502,885 - 48 percent
Has won 29 states with 246 ev.
Leads in 3 states with 43 ev.
Others 3,320,252 - 4 percent
Needed to win: 270 of the 538 electoral votes (ev) from the 50 states and the District of Columbia.
