Soccer: UNLV men blank New Mexico

The UNLV men's soccer team defeated New Mexico 3-0 in the season finale for both schools Sunday. The Rebels finish the year with a 10- 7-1 record, the team's most victories since 1991 and its first winning season since 1992. New Mexico finishes the season 6-12.
The Rebels went 4-3 in the MPSF Pacific Division for third place, their best finish since a 4-3 record in 1992.
Rebels senior goalkeeper Robert Achah posted his fifth shutout of the season, and UNLV got goals from Thomas Talvio, Matt Thompson and Jason Melendez .
