Six contractors in Las Vegas area lose licenses

The State Contractors' Board has revoked the licenses of six Las Vegas Valley contractors and issued letters of reprimand to two other companies. Licenses subject to discipline last week were held by:
Edison Electric Inc. of Las Vegas. In its revocation notice, the board alleged failure to pay for materials or services, and failure to establish financial responsibility.
The company's spokesman declined comment.
Vincent Development Co. of Henderson. The board revoked the company's license, alleging failure to pay for materials or services, failure to establish financial responsibility, failure to comply with a notice to correct, failure to include the license number and monetary limit on the bid or contract, and failure to notify the board of a change of address.
The company could not be reached for comment.
Seaport Construction Inc. of Las Vegas. In revoking the license, the board alleged failure to pay for materials or services, failure to establish financial responsibility, failure to respond to a written request from the board and failure to include the monetary limit on the bid or contract.

Stephen King Lower Jr. of Las Vegas. The board revoked the company's license, alleging failure to pay for materials or services, failure to establish financial responsibility, committing a fraudulent or deceitful act, and failure to notify the board of a change of address.

Johnson & Son Concrete of Las Vegas. The board imposed a $1,000 fine, placed a permanent letter of reprimand in the company's file and seeks to recover legal costs. The company was accused of substandard workmanship, failure to comply with a notice to correct, departure from or disregard of plans or specifications, failure to include the monetary limit on the bid or contract and failure to maintain the required bond.
The company could not be reached for comment.
CRI Electric Inc. of Las Vegas. The board placed a one-year letter of reprimand in the company's file and seeks to recover legal costs, alleging it failed to establish financial responsibility, comply to a written request from the board, bid in excess of the license limit and failed to include the license number and monetary limit on the bid or contract.
The company declined comment.
