PWBA finale at Sam’s Town

The final stop of the 2000 Professional Women's Bowling Association Tour, the $100,000 Sam's Town Invitational, gets under way today with the first of four qualifying rounds. The televised finals are set for Saturday at 11 a.m., followed by a special Storm Shootout skins match featuring top bowlers from the 1970s, '80s and '90s.
Wendy MacPherson of Henderson is defending champion of the event.
Tuesday's qualifying is set for 1 p.m. while Wednesday's and Thursday's will get under way at 9 a.m. Round 5 match play begins at 4 p.m. Thursday with eight games, with 16 more games of match play set for Friday at 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
