Letter: GOP ticket is anti-Nevada
Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000 | 3:26 a.m.
The campaign will soon be over and we will not have to listen to any more lies, innuendos and commercials about the different candidates. I have voted in all the campaigns dating back to Franklin D. Roosevelt -- and this is the first campaign where several governors have left their states and are out campaigning for their favorite candidate, George W. Bush.
One of these governors is Nevada's own Kenny Guinn. How can Guinn justify campaigning for a candidate who will definitely vote to dump the nuclear waste in our state? This should concern every resident in Nevada as it will affect all of us.
If you vote for Bush and he wins the election, you will have an inexperienced puppet president, and the Republicans and the big corporations will be running this country. Bush's policies are often inconsistent and make no sense as he is unable to describe them. Vice President Al Gore and Sen. Joe Lieberman are honest and experienced men and will keep the promises they have made to us.
