Suspects in fatal carjacking sought

Police were searching for three men after a 28-year-old Las Vegas man was shot to death during an apparent carjacking.

Lt. Wayne Petersen said the victim was confronted by two suspects as he left a check-cashing business about 7 p.m. Wednesday.

Petersen said one of the suspects shot the victim and took the 1988 Chevrolet Caprice he was driving. The other suspect got into another car, which was driven by a third suspect.

The victim was dead at the scene. His identity was not released pending notification of relatives.

The victim's vehicle was found about 11 p.m.
