Letter: Nukes coming no matter what
Friday, Nov. 3, 2000 | 10:02 a.m.
Several reasons: No. 1, the place is already near completion. Sounds like an awful lot of money to waste for nothing unless somebody wants to rent it out to vampires. No. 2, Nevada has already been used for testing God-knows how many megatons of atomic bombs, so what's a few more tons of spent plutonium rods gonna hurt ?
Folks, let's be real. Nuke waste in Nevada is not a possibility. It's a reality. A harsh reality which, unfortunately, will be blamed on our next president.
