Friday, Nov. 3, 2000 | 11:10 a.m.
Las Vegas novelist and golf historian Jack Sheehan enjoyed some time off from his desk job last week to qualify a week-high 92 shots for Sunday's final day of the $4 Million Hole-In-One Charity Shootout, a two-month long benefit for Opportunity Village, the Southern Nevada Inner City Youth Golf Association and the Las Vegas Sports Committee scholarship fund.
Las Vegas' Lisiate Tovo, a performer at the Bellagio, remains the top qualifier with 141 total shots. Tovo will lead the field at Angel Park Golf Club for Sunday's 8 a.m. semifinals, the Las Vegas Celebrity Charity Shootout at noon and the 3 p.m. finals.
