Bandits re-sign Johnson for new season

The Las Vegas Bandits of the International Basketball League announced that guard Michael Johnson (6-0, 175) has re-signed to play with the team for the 2000-01 season.
Johnson, a Rancho High School product, was a member of the Bandits' inaugural team in 1999-2000. He appeared in 33 games and averaged 5.6 points and 2.7 assists.
He participated with the Bandits at the Marseille Basketball Challenge in Marseille, France, on Oct. 6-7.
Johnson played two seasons at Oklahoma (1997-99) and guided the Sooners to the 1999 NCAA Sweet 16 as their point guard.
