State forester Roy Trenoweth to retire

Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000 | 11:16 a.m.

Trenoweth has been with the Nevada Division of Forestry more than 27 years and state forester since 1992.

"I'm very proud of the accomplishments we've made at the Division of Forestry and especially the way we've handled the wildfire situation the past two years," he said. "But it's time for me to devote more time to my family."

"Roy has proven himself an effective and dedicated forester and the state of Nevada has been very fortunate to have him," said Gov. Kenny Guinn.

No replacement has been announced yet for the $75,000-a-year job.
