Frances V. Bishop

Frances V. Bishop, 91, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 2, 1909, in New York City. A resident for three years, she was a retired clinical psychologist, a former reporter for the Washington Post, a former member of Mensa, a member of Group Psychotherapy Association of Southern California, American Newspaper Women's Club and the American Psychological Association.

She is survived by one daughter, Randa Bishop of Las Vegas.

Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd. is handling arrangements.

Robert Wayne Buckley

Robert Wayne Buckley, 37, of Las Vegas died Oct. 24 in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 3, 1962. A resident for 13 years, he was a tile setter.

He is survived by his wife, Holly; one son, Cory, and three daughters, Brigette, Kady and Rhiannon, all of Las Vegas; his parents, Robert and Linda Buckley, one brother, Rick Buckley, and one sister, Paige Buckley, all of California.

Teresa H. Castillo

Teresa H. Castillo, 84, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. She was born Dec. 12, 1915, in Cuba. A resident for 30 years, she was a retired hotel housekeeper.

She is survived by her husband, Jesus; one son, Jose Lopez, one stepdaughter, Gloria Hernandez, and one sister, Emilia Sama, all of Las Vegas; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 2-7 p.m. Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Leo Nelson 'Bo' Corbin

Leo Nelson "Bo" Corbin, 74, of Las Vegas died Oct. 25 in Las Vegas. He was born Oct. 3, 1926, in Chicago. A resident for six years, he retired from the insurance industry and was an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Kay; three sons, Micheal Corbin and David Corbin, both of Chicago, and Stampp Corbin of Columbus, Ohio; one daughter, Vanessa Corbin of Chicago; two sisters, Rhigenia Corbin of Montana and Mildred Smith of Chicago.

A memorial service will be held in Chicago. Valley Memorial Crematory, 745 W. Sunset Road No. 16, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

Danny J. Ellett

Danny J. Ellett, 46, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 14, 1954, in Oklahoma. A resident for 20 years, he was a well driller.

He is survived by one son, Jerrod Ellett, and his parents, Pat and Joe Ellett, all of Mesquite; three sisters, Vicki Montijo of Las Vegas, Connie Hansen of Boulder City and Cindee Bunch of Henderson; and one grandchild.

Valley Memorial Crematory, 745 W. Sunset Road No. 16, Henderson is handling private services.

Samuel Fred Epperson

Samuel Fred Epperson, 63, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born June 2, 1937. A longtime resident, he was an Army veteran.

He is survived by his mother, Bernice Wiggam, one brother, Marty Epperson, and one sister, Sharon Lehmann, all of Indiana.

Services will be private. Burial will be in Indiana. Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North is handling arrangements.

Jack E. Heagle

Jack E. Heagle, 70, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 10, 1930, in Canada. A resident for 10 years, he was general manager of the Air Force and Navy Exchange for 25 years.

He is survived by his wife, Theodora; three sons, Larry Heagle, Joe Krakos, and George Krakos, all of Las Vegas; and one daughter, Cheryl Rupprecht of Vancouver, British Columbia.

Verne Francis Holmes Jr.

Verne Francis Holmes Jr., 55, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Aug. 15, 1945, in Reno. A resident for 54 years, he was a gaming technology expert, owner of Best Bet Products Inc. and Holmes and Sons.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra A.; four daughters, Patricia A. Klapperick, Becky Jo Lystlund, Barbara Renee Sposato and Christiane Leigh Herrera, two sons, Verne Frances Holmes and Shawn Paul Holmes, and one brother, Robert Glen Holmes, all of Las Vegas; three sisters, Carolyn Kirkpatrick of Buhl, Idaho, and Mary Darlene Robinson and Marguerite Kathryn Holmes, both of Las Vegas; and 12 grandchildren.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. services Friday in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1111 Michael Way. Graveside services are scheduled 12:15 p.m. Friday in Palm Memory Gardens. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave. is handling arrangements.

Harvey L. Ische

Harvey L. Ische, 87, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospital. He was born Oct. 23, 1913, in Milwaukee. A resident for 13 years, he was a retired aircraft machinist.

He is survived by his wife, Irma H.; one daughter, Marlene Sue Mills of Henderson; two sons, Gary Ische of Stanwood, Wash., and Allan Ische of Ontario, Calif.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A memorial service is scheduled 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Palm Mortuary, 800 S. Boulder Highway, Henderson, is handling arrangements.

John W. Johnson III

John W. Johnson III, 79, of Las Vegas died Oct. 26 in a local hospice. He was born March 3, 1921, in Wisdville, La. A resident for 42 years, he was a carpenter and a Korean War Army veteran.

He is survived by seven sons, Wellington Johnson of Fort Worth, Texas, Demetrious Johnson of Louisiana and Marcus Johnson, Gregory Johnson, John W. Johnson IV, Carlton Johnson and Eugene Johnson, all of Las Vegas; one daughter, Queenie Johnson-Theus of Las Vegas; two brothers, Eddie Johnson of Washington and Roland Johnson of Texas; four sisters, Ella Harris of Los Angeles, Edna Johnson of Florida and Clara Jenkins and Ida Swafford, both of Louisiana; 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Services are scheduled 11 a.m. Friday in Victory Missionary Baptist Church, 500 W. Monroe Ave. Burial will be in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City.

Mary G. Joyce

Mary G. Joyce, 83, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local care center. She was born May 5, 1917, in New York City. A resident for four years, she was a traffic analyst in the shipping industry.

She is survived by four sons, Vincent F. Joyce Jr. of Phoenixville, Pa., Robert A. Joyce of Las Vegas, Anthony R. Joyce of Miami Beach, Fla., and Daniel V. Joyce of Union City, N.J.; one sister, Winifred I. Morici of Rutherford, N.J.; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Betty Nadine Larsen

Betty Nadine Larsen, 74, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born Aug. 4, 1926, in Salt Lake City. A resident for 40 years, she was a retired cashier in the casino industry, a member of the Auxiliary Air Force Sergeants Association and was retired from the Culinary Union.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth W.; two daughters, Sherry Pantilos of Texas and Peggy Ewart of Oregon; three sons, Bill Cook of Washington, Bob Tindel of California and Brent Cook of Oregon; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Graveside services are scheduled 11:30 a.m. Friday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd., is handling arrangements.

Dorothy A. Morgan

Dorothy A. Morgan, 78, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 20, 1921, in Nashville, Tenn. A resident for 38 years, she was a retired registered nurse and a retired chief occupational health nurse at Reynolds Electrical and Engineering Co.

She is survived by one son, Ron Morgan of Las Vegas; and three grandchildren.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 1600 S. Jones Blvd. Additional visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 9 a.m. services Friday in Palm Mortuary, Jones.

The family suggest donations be made to the donor's favorite charity.

Laverne Neal

Laverne Neal, 38, of Las Vegas died Oct. 24 in a local hospice. She was born Jan. 21, 1962, in Bradley County, Ark. A resident for years, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Roger Mattox Jr. and Damian Neal, one daughter, Lakisha Neal, and her mother, Annie Neal, all of Las Vegas; five sisters, Cynthia Neal, Betty Neal, Linda Hankerson, Felicia Neal and Sandra King; and four brothers, Tommy Ray Neal, Robert Neal, Bobby Ray Neal and William Neal.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Harrison-Ross Mortuaries, 2071 Las Vegas Blvd., North. Services are scheduled 11 a.m. Friday in Harrison-Ross Chapel.

Harlan H. Parsons

Harlan H. Parsons, 85, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born April 5, 1915, in Los Angeles. A resident for nine months, he was a retired maintenance engineer for Cabrillo Community College in Santa Cruz, Calif., and a World War II Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey H.; and longtime caregiver, B.J. Pat Carden of Las Vegas.

Services are private. Neptune Society of Nevada, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, Building 5 is handling arrangements.

Marquis Stampley

Marquis Stampley, 9 months, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born Jan. 11, 2000, in Las Vegas.

He is survived by his mother, Vicki; one brother, Blake Stampley; and one sister, Carmel Gadson.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Woodlawn Cemetery. Desert Memorial Cremation and Burial Society, 1111 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling arrangements.

Shawn Travis Stevenson

Shawn Travis Stevenson, 38, of Las Vegas died Oct. 22 in a local care center. She was born Sept. 6, 1962, in Missoula, Mont. A resident for one year, she was a professional animal trainer.

She is survived by her mother, Pauline; and one brother, Jon.

Lawrence Kent Stillman

Lawrence Kent Stillman, 72, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born June 11, 1928, in Bingham Canyon, Utah. A resident for one year, he was a retired Navy senior chief petty officer, a Korean War and Vietnam War veteran and a member of the Fleet Reserve Association.

He is survived by his wife, MaryAnn; two daughters, Charlene Geller of Sunnyvale, Calif., and Kathleen Stillman of Murrieta, Calif.; two sons, Larry Stillman of Glendale, Ariz., and Jerry Stillman of Lorton, Va.; two brothers, Larry Stillman and Jerry Moore, both of Las Vegas; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service was scheduled 10 a.m. today in the LDS chapel, 3300 N. Buffalo Drive. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., handled arrangements.

The family requests donations to Bingham High School Alumni Association in South Jordan, Utah, in his memory.

Rosemary Ward

Rosemary Ward, 48, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. She was born June 9, 1952, in Queens, N.Y. A resident for three years, she was a hotel waitress.

She is survived by two daughters, Michele Ward of Las Vegas and Kelly Ward of Brooklyn, N.Y.; her mother, Mary Rago, and two sisters, Raffela Rago and Patricia Rago, all of Las Vegas; one brother, Pasquale Rago of Staten Island, N.Y.; and four grandchildren.

Visitation will continue until 7 p.m. today in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services are scheduled noon Friday in Palm Mortuary, Eastern.
