Four lawsuits alleging construction defects were filed in recent weeks in Clark County District Court.

Forty homeowners of Canyon Creek North sued Robert Jones Co. and Robert V. Jones Corp., alleging defects in 257 homes at Cimmaron Road and Ann Road in northwest Las Vegas.

The defendants' attorney declined comment.

Separately, Green Valley Ranch Community Association Inc. sued ANC Inc. doing business as American Nevada Corp., Green Valley Development and Silver Springs Inc. alleging defects in outside walls, gazebos, parks, landscaping, lighting, irrigation systems, draining systems and other elements of the common areas of the 2,000-home master-planned community in Henderson.

An American Nevada official said the company does not comment on pending litigation. The Greenspun family owns both American Nevada and the Las Vegas Sun.

Another lawsuit was filed by Silver Spur Owners Association against Apache/Cheyenne LLC, Verde Viejo Inc., Diversified Development Co. and Diversified Homes, alleging its 112-unit condominium complex at Cheyenne Avenue and Durango Drive has defects.

The defendants could not be reached for comment on the allegations.

A fourth lawsuit was filed by Highgate Condominium Property Owners against Pavilion Ltd. Partnership and Monogram Inc., alleging defects in its 260-unit condominium complex at 7100 Pirates Cove Road in Las Vegas.
