One 8-year-old Las Vegas boy has been able maintain a "B" average at school.
Considering that he receives limited academic help and support from his mother because she has a brain tumor, a "B" grade is exceptional for this little boy.
This child, however, needs a lot of positive support. He needs a role model and a strong wholesome environment.
This well-mannered and deserving student is one of many Las Vegas Valley children who has applied for scholarships from the Las Vegas Sun summer camp fund. The camp fund was set up to see that all children have an opportunity to go to summer camp.
Help send disadvantaged children to camp by joining these latest contributors to the Sun Camp Fund:
Allen O. Tooley; Arthur V. and Barbara Lawrence; Joseph and Beth Ridley; Bob Mueller; Virgil D. and Janice M. Drummond "In memory of Sara Elizabeth Bowers"; Sandra Smith; Niki G. Devine; Gaynel A. Johnson "In memory of Brenda J. Johnson"; Dean and Ellen Sousa; and Marlene Fuller.
