LV tavern sued over shooting

A Las Vegas patron of Mr. D's Sports Bar and Grill sued the sports bar and its three managers Delbert and Kathie Bunch and Morse Charles Deming, alleging poor security measures caused him to be shot during an attempted robbery on Dec. 5.
In a Clark County District Court suit, Dannie Holding alleged the sports bar's employees had left the back door to the bar unguarded and propped wide open, allowing the assailants to enter the premises.
Police say four masked men began shooting in the bar at 1810 South Rainbow Blvd. during a concert by Pigs in a Blanket, a five-piece rock 'n' roll band including three Metro officers.
Police say one of the gunmen, a 19-year-old Las Vegan, Emilio Rodriguez, was shot dead by an off-duty officer at the bar, while a search is still on for the three men who escaped. The officer was shot four times in the exchange but survived.
Delbert Bunch declined comment.
