A Las Vegas company that late last year began distributing bread products for a Phoenix bakery is suing the company for revoking the agreement.
Holsum Bakery Inc. was named in the suit filed in District Court by Darby's Store Inc.
Darby's in December paid $98,000 for the exclusive rights to distribute Holsum products in an 84-square-block area between Maryland Parkway and Boulder Highway between Desert Inn and Flamingo roads.
According to a suit, Holsum changed several product-return policies March 1. When Darby's balked at implementing some of the changes, Holsum revoked the distributorship agreement.
In the breach-of-contract suit, Darby's is seeking an injunction restraining Holsum from interfering with its business as well as general, compensatory and special damages.
Holsum officials could not be reached for comment on the suit.
