Saturday matinees

The old-fashioned Saturday matinee film festival at the Reid Whipple Cultural Center, 821 Las Vegas Blvd. North, continues Saturday with Creep Fest, featuring news reels from 1946, the Three Stooges in "If a Body Meets a Body" and "House of Mirrors." Tickets are 50 cents. Call 229-6211.

Guitar society

Interested choreographers have until July 21 to enter chorographic proposals for the "Holiday Collage 2000," Nov. 30-Dec. 3 at the Reed Whipple Cultural Center. The event features the Las Vegas Youth Ballet Company and is sponsored by the Cultural and Community Affairs Division of Las Vegas' Department of Leisure Services and the Las Vegas Civic Ballet Association.
