Friday, May 26, 2000 | 10:38 a.m.
A Las Vegas microwave satellite communications equipment seller is seeking an injunction to stop a rival from copying and using its trademarks to advertise and sell microwave radios and other electronic equipment.
In a U.S. District Court suit, Megastar Inc. requested the court to order Harris Corp. of Las Vegas to relinquish for destruction "all products, packaging, labels, literature, advertising and other material bearing imitations or reproductions" of the MEGASTAR and MEGASTAR INC. trademarks.
Megastar also seeks an order requiring Harris to file a report to show how it has complied with the injunction and for an accounting of all profits earned from its "trademark infringement, unfair competition and false advertising."
The defendant could not be reached for comment.
