Rio faces fine for currency violation
The alleged violation occurred in March, when an undercover agent of the board deposited $4,200 in cash at the Rio's cashier cage, all in $20 bills. When the agent withdrew the money two days later, the board alleges the cashier gave the agent her funds in $100 bills. Under Nevada gaming regulations, all casino deposits in excess of $3,000 must be returned in the same denomination bills -- a measure designed to protect against money laundering.

The wall is part of the drainage channel that runs underneath Lamb.

Even the Federal Trade Commission has grown impatient. Previously the FTC has argued that Internet companies should set their own privacy policies. But earlier this week the FTC asked Congress for the authority to regulate how these companies collect and distribute this sensitive information. The FTC found that of the 100 most popular U.S. websites, just 42 had opted to voluntarily implement privacy safeguards. In response, some lobbyists for the Internet companies argued for more time, contending that regulation could harm the development of the relatively young industry.

Term limits means Lujan Hickey can't run for a fourth term this year, so her leadership will be missed. For instance, Lujan Hickey started the Classroom on Wheels program, which aided underprivileged children by helping prepare them for kindergarten and an education. It's not common nowadays to find Nevadans willing to devote so much of their time to serve the public, but that's not the case with Lujan Hickey -- she definitely is a model citizen.
