Ronald Earl Bowie

Ronald Earl Bowie, 31, of North Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. He was born June 5, 1968, in Las Vegas. A lifelong resident, he was a hairstylist.

He is survived by his mother, Margaret Dean, and his father and stepmother, Sammie and Barbara Bowie, all of North Las Vegas; and one brother, Andre Bowie of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled noon-5 p.m. Thursday in Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Carver Baptist Church, 1221 N. J St. Burial will follow in Eden Vale Memorial Park.

Victor Bruce

Victor Bruce, 12, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 12, 1987, in Las Vegas. He was an Orr Junior High School student and a member of the band.

He is survived by his parents, Olivero and Carmen Bruce of Las Vegas; two brothers, Omar Bruce of Las Vegas and David Bruce of Carson City; and his grandmother, Jovita Bruce of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday and 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. services Friday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.

Raul J. Castro Sr.

Raul J. Castro Sr., 51, of Las Vegas died Monday in a local hospital. He was born Dec. 11, 1948, in Bakersfield, Calif. A resident for 12 years, he was a cabinetmaker and woodworker and an Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Hope Elise Einer-Castro; two sons, Raul Castro Jr. of Dallas and Aaron Castro of Ely; one daughter, Renee Rowland of Triangle, Va.; four brothers, Arturo Castro, Roberto Castro, Victor Castro and Alfredo Castro, all of Bakersfield; four sisters, Peggy Pizzaro, Eva Corona and Anita Contreras, all of Bakersfield, and Gloria Valdez of Oceanside, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Boulder City. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.

Tony Chittenden

Tony Chittenden, 28, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Dec. 13, 1971, in Vietnam. A resident for 11 years, he was a foreman in the construction industry.

He is survived by his fiancee, Melissa Hagen; his mother, Linda Brida of Las Vegas; his father, Phillip Chittenden of Sacramento; two sisters, Tina Gonzalez of Sacramento and Angela Chittenden of Las Vegas; and one brother, Jason Chittenden of Las Vegas.

Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 3 p.m. services Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Burial will be in Palm Valley View Cemetery.

Shirley Ann Cupples

Shirley Ann Cupples, 52, of Las Vegas died May 16 in a local hospital. She was born May 21, 1947, in Owosso, Mich. A resident for 30 years, she was a retired showroom food server.

She is survived by one daughter, Carroll A. Greuel, and two sons, Troy V. Cupples and Tyee J. Cupples, all of Las Vegas; her mother, Lucille Sanford of Port Richey, Fla.; two brothers, John Grant of Mason, Mich., and James Sanford of Green Bush, Mich.; four sisters, Rosemary Ybarra and Karla Peters, both of Las Vegas, Judy Balzer of Holt, Mich., and Patricia Harward of Port Richey; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be noon Saturday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd. Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. Saturday in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.

Helga Davis

Helga Davis, 70, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospice. She was born June 17, 1929, in Grosspriesen, Czechoslovakia. A resident for 36 years, she was a retired gaming supervisor.

She is survived by her husband, Donald; one brother, Dr. Walter Weigel, and one sister, Ursula Weigel, both of Berlin.

A memorial service will be 4 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St. Burial will follow in Palm Memorial Park.

Judith A. Foster

Judith A. Foster, 60, of Las Vegas died Friday in North Las Vegas. She was born Oct. 14, 1939, in New Bedford, Mass. A resident for nine years, she was an administrative assistant for Nevada Power Co.

She is survived by her husband, Michael J.; one daughter, Cathy Cope of Fairhaven, Mass.; four sons, William S. Cope, Richard G. Cope and Jon D. Cope, all of New Bedford, and Kenneth G. Cope of Florida; three stepsons, Michael J. Foster Jr. of Boston and Ryan Foster and Jeffrey Foster, both of Tiverton, R.I.; her mother, Alice L. Nelson of North Dartmouth, Mass.; one sister, Joan Whitehead of Largo, Fla.; seven grandchildren and one step-grandchild.

Services will be in Massachusetts. American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane, is handling arrangements.

Paul Green

Paul Green, 84, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born May 3, 1916, in Springfield, Ohio. A resident for 19 years, he was a supervisor for 34 years at Sun Oil Co. in Columbus, Ohio, and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Natalie; three sons, Philip Green of Sacramento, Joe L. Green of London, Ohio, and Chris N. Green of Las Vegas; one daughter, Carol Ann Mason of Canal Winchester, Ohio; and five grandchildren.

Mataiya Hastings

Mataiya Hastings, 70, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born April 5, 1930, in Cherry Hill, N.J. A resident for 16 years, she was a real estate saleswoman for 16 years.

She is survived by her husband, James; two daughters, Larissa Miller of Wells and Stephanie McCarroll of Las Vegas; one sister, Gladys Gilliland of California; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Randy Henderson

Randy Henderson, 63, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 28, 1936, in Algoma, W.Va. A resident for eight years, he was retired from the Navy, a Vietnam War veteran and a member of the American Legion.

He is survived by two sons, Dane Randolph Henderson and Douglas Norman Henderson, both of San Diego; one brother, James C. Henderson of Philadelphia; and six grandchildren.

John Charles Hobbs

John Charles Hobbs, 47, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. A computer programmer, he was born Feb. 16, 1953, in Ohio.

He is survived by two daughters, Laura Hobbs of East Liverpool, Ohio, and Carrie Helmann of South Riding, Va.; one sister, Alice Hobbs of East Liverpool; and two grandchildren.

Trellis Kinsey

Trellis Kinsey, 31, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born Nov. 6, 1968, in Louisiana. A resident for six years, she was a retail sales manager.

She is survived by her mother, Gretta Kinsey of Las Vegas.

Edythe May Lichty

Edythe May Lichty, 94, of Henderson died Monday in Las Vegas. She was born May 20, 1906, in Oregon. A longtime resident, she was a homemaker.

She is survived by one son, George Lichty.

Luis Guillermo Lucio

Luis Guillermo Lucio, 75, of Henderson died Monday in Henderson. He was born Jan. 5, 1925, in Puerto Rico. A resident for five months, he was a retired real estate broker and a World War II Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Jossie Guerrero Lucio; two sons, Gene Lucio of Las Vegas and John Lucio of New Hampshire; one brother, Paul Nicholas, and two sisters, Sylvia Lucio and Evy Lucio, all of Puerto Rico; and five grandchildren.

Rommie L. Martin, 54, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas. He was born Nov. 9, 1945, in Chicago. A resident for two years, he was a Navy veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Tammie Chiles of Long Beach, Calif., and Jameelah Martin of Michigan; one son, Kalonji Martin of Washington, D.C.; his father, Eddie Martin Sr. of Detroit; two brothers, Eddie Martin Jr. of Chicago and Albert Davis Jr. of Las Vegas; four sisters, Barbara Poindexter and Nona Williams, both of Detroit, and Debra Jackson and Earnestine Wilkenson, both of Chicago; and two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 7 p.m. Thursday in American Burial and Cremation Services, 310 Foremaster Lane. Burial will be private.

Harriet Toni Millman, 42, of Las Vegas died May 9 in a health care center. A self-employed hairdresser, she was born May 8, 1958, in Pennsylvania.

Anita Romani Neall

Anita Romani Neall, 81, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local hospital. She was born Sept. 1, 1918, in Florence, N.J. A resident for 18 years, she was a registered nurse and a World War II Army Nurse Corps captain.

She is survived by her husband, Meredith; one daughter, Margaret Grant of Las Vegas; one son, Timothy Neall of Pryor, Okla.; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Gwendolyn L. Noel, 74, of Las Vegas died Tuesday in a local hospice. She was born July 28, 1925, in St. Louis. A resident for six years, she was a beautician.

She is survived by one daughter, Evelyn Grayson of North Las Vegas; three sons, Roberts Blackburn of East St. Louis, Ill., and Phillip R. Stewart and Orlando H. Stewart, both of Los Angeles; one sister, Evelyn Redmond of Las Vegas; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Darlene M. Peterson

Darlene M. Peterson, 74, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local hospital. She was born Nov. 30, 1925, in White, S.D. A resident for 28 years, she retired as a bookkeeper from JCPenney in 1984, was a member of the Desert Springs Hospital Auxiliary and the Kiwanis Club.

She is survived by one son, Robert D. Peterson of Henderson; one sister, Donna Bruflat of Sioux Falls, S.D.; six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She is survived by one son, Charles A. Schlossberg of Palatine, Ill.; one brother, Benjamin Weiss of North Las Vegas; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
