“Betty” Pearce dies at 88

Mrs. Pearce died at her Fallon residence on Sunday. She and her husband Les, who died in December 1996, owned and operated KVLV radio station in Fallon until retiring in 1988.
A native of Portland, Ore., she was a member of the Nevada Broadcasters Association. Surviving family include her son Ed Pearce, the news director at KOLO-TV in Reno.
A memorial service was scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Epworth United Methodist Church in Fallon.
