Sixth grade class creates websites
Kari Deike's sixth-grade English class at Greenspun Junior High School has established websites for students' computer research projects.
The students used the Internet to research such topics as game shows, football, movies, basketball, cars, fads and trends, the Olympics and Academy Awards.
Students demonstrated their projects at a recent media fair at the school for parents and invited guests.
The students teamed up in groups of three to research specific topics and then set up the sites on the school's computers. The students designed the page s and graphics, and wrote the text, based on their research.
The projects can be viewed on the school's website (http://www.greenspun.org).
