Stumble$23 million expansion under way

ALTOONA, Iowa -- A $23 million expansion of Prairie Meadows Racetrack and Casino is on schedule to open Oct. 1, a track official reported to the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission.
The expansion includes more casino space, new elevators and escalators, a better system to handle cigarette smoke and other improvements.
