Tina Marie Snyder, 35, of Silver Knolls, will be eligible for parole in 10 years under the sentence handed down Tuesday by Washoe District Judge Steve Elliott.
Investigators said Snyder's pickup truck crossed over a double yellow line into oncoming traffic on struck a van driven by John Wedemeyer of Doyle, Calif.
Wedemeyer's 29-year-old wife, Denise, died in the May 29, 1999 wreck on Red Rock Road north of Reno. The couple's 7-year-old son, James, died two days later.
