Letter: Wynn could have saved a lot of pets

The day before, the news ran a story where a half-million dollars was needed to complete a no-kill shelter for man's real friends -- dogs and cats.
It was reported that Clark County euthanizes/executes, choose your wording, about 12,000 of these little four-legged furry, loving creatures a year. About 30 to 35 a day. Think about that.
Couldn't Steve have pretended that the D.I. was $270.5 million and saved a lot of innocent creatures? I don't think he would be greatly impacted by a $500,000 donation.
In fairness to him there are plenty of other hotel-casino owners and people who are rich from other services.
How about one, or a group, stepping forward and ending the "Clark County pet holocaust."
