WASHINGTON -- Nellis Air Force Base would get $5 million for 26 new family housing units if Congress approves a military construction bill.
The House on Tuesday approved the bill 386-22, which also includes about $11 million for military construction at Fallon Naval Air Station in Northern Nevada.
"This money will be used for facility improvements to help ensure our men and women on the ground have the equipment they need and the housing improvements they deserve," Rep. Jim Gibbons, R-Nev., said.
The Nellis money would be used to complete the eighth phase of a new housing project.
