Bien Nacido Pinot Noir ‘97
Wednesday, May 17, 2000 | 9:51 a.m.
Everyone is drinking Pinot Noir from California's central regions these days, where the cool air is just about perfect for this temperamental grape varietal. Lane Tanner, a female winemaker who is one of the region's undisputed stars, makes terrific wines. This one has the classic cherry and cranberry tang associated with this grape, a forward, accessible wine that is ready to drink now. Like it says on the label, "may your life be as smooth as this wine." Amen to that.
Available exclusively at Lee's Discount Liquors, Sunset and Rainbow stores, $24.99.
