Rebels do well in LA meet

Although the UNLV track and field team had the weekend off, two Rebels elected to compete at the Occidental Invitational Sunday at Los Angeles.

Sophomore sprinter Michele Davis won the 400 meters in 52.86, 0.12 seconds better than her previous best.

Junior pole vaulter Charlotte McGee continued to raise the UNLV standard in the event. She broke her own school record, clearing 11-4 1/4 to finish tied for 10th overall. McGee has improved her mark nearly one full foot since the season began and ranks sixth in the MWC this season.
