Gas prices down in Nevada

The American Automobile Association reported gasoline prices statewide dropped an average of a dime a gallon from a month ago when prices hit an all-time high.
The statewide average for a gallon of regular self-serve unleaded dropped to $1.70.
In Reno and Las Vegas, the average was $1.72, a decline of 11 cents in Reno and 8 cents in Las Vegas.
The average price in Carson City was $1.63, also down 11 cents.
The national average was $1.49, unchanged since mid April.
Still, AAA warns the reprieve likely will be short lived.
AAA Nevada spokesman Paul Moreno said crude oil prices are hovering around $30 a barrel, up about $5 from the same time last month.
And has more people take to the nation's highways during the busy summer travel season, the demand for gasoline will push prices back up, he said.
