Liz Abbott
Liz Abbott, 61, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. She was born May 14, 1939, in Freeport, Ill. A resident for six years, she was a retired landscaping saleswoman.
She is survived by her husband, Ralph E.; two daughters, Debra Terry of Denver and Penny Wheeler of Medera, Calif.; four sons, Colman Wheeler Jr. of Phoenix, Michael Wheeler of Las Vegas and Joseph Wheeler and William Wheeler, both of Frazier Park, Calif.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 10 a.m. until a 1 p.m. funeral service Tuesday in Affordable Cremation and Burial Service, 2457 N. Decatur Blvd.
Kathy M. Anderson
Kathy M. Anderson, 42, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. She was born July 29, 1957, in Richfield, Utah. A resident for 31 years, she was a registered nurse at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center and a member of the Las Vegas Bicycle Club.
She is survived by her husband, David P.; one daughter, Kathryn Mae Anderson, her parents, Sherild and Iva Mae Hickman, one brother, Christopher Hickman, and four sisters, Tammy Holcomb, Joan Taylor, Linda Carlin and Connie Hickman, all of Las Vegas.
Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to 11 a.m. services Tuesday in the LDS Sixth Ward, 3400 W. Charleston Blvd. Burial will be in Utah. Davis Funeral Home, 2127 W. Charleston Blvd., is handling arrangements.
Vito Custodio
Vito Custodio, 93, of Las Vegas died Friday in a local health care center. He was born Jan. 10, 1907, in Palermo, Italy. A resident for five years, he was a retired assistant mechanic.
He is survived by his brother, Henry Custodio of Bellmawr, N.J.; and one sister, Angelina Gallo of Philadelphia.
Visitation is scheduled one half hour prior to 10 a.m. services Tuesday in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1811 Pueblo Vista Drive. Graveside services will follow at noon Tuesday in Palm Memorial Park, Northwest. Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling arrangements.
Tadao R. Komine
Tadao R. Komine, 73, of Las Vegas died Saturday in a local hospital. He was born Sept. 12, 1926, in Hawaii. A resident for five years, he was a retired retailer and a World War II Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Ella; two daughters, Mona Preston of Hawaii and Gail Qumei of River Vale, N.J.; one son, Mark Komine of Medfield, Mass.; three sisters, Yaeko Furukawa, Miyoko Matsuko and Barbara Shim, all of Hawaii; three brothers, Isamu Komine, Hideo Komine and Minoru Komie, all of Hawaii; and seven grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave., is handling private arrangements.
Leonard David Morsch
Leonard David Morsch, 72, of Henderson died Sunday in Henderson. He was born May 7, 1928, in Huntington, N.Y. A resident for four years, he was a retired painting and decorating contractor.
He is survived by three daughters, Linda Owens of Miami and Kimberly Bolletino and Stacey Morsch, both of Henderson; one brother, Robert Morsch of Huntington; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is scheduled 2-8 p.m. Monday in Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave. Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Trinity Life Center, 1000 E. St. Louis Ave. Burial will follow in Palm Valley View Memorial Park.
Mary A. Nelson
Mary A. Nelson, 63, of Las Vegas died May 6 in Las Vegas. She was born Jan. 8, 1937, in China.
She is survived by her husband, James; two daughters, Debra Gunter of Mississippi and Kim Stoney of Las Vegas; one son, Jim Nelson of Mississippi; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Bunkers Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North, is handling private arrangements.
Henri Rose
Henri Rose, 75, of Las Vegas died Sunday in a local health care center. He was born July 4, 1924, in Marseilles, France. A resident for 47 years, he was a retired pianist, a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Musicians Union.
He is survived by his wife, Rolla; one stepson, Tom Tivol of Kansas City, Mo.; one stepdaughter, Cathy Maslan of Shawnee Mission, Kan.; one brother, Seymour Rose of Ventura, Calif.; one sister, Miriam Levine of Chicago; and six grandchildren.
Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., handled private arrangements.
Dorothy Joan True
Dorothy Joan True, 65, of Las Vegas died Thursday in a California hospital. She was born March 15, 1935, in Foam Lake, Saskatchewan. A resident for nine years, she was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Gary; two daughters, Holly Huffaker of Las Vegas and Mary Barton of Salem, Ore.; and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Palm Mortuary, 1325 N. Main St.
David A. Young
David A. Young, 58, of Las Vegas died Saturday in Las Vegas. He was born June 7, 1941, in Auckland, New Zealand. A resident for three years, he was a chief executive officer of Scenic Airlines.
He is survived by his wife, Temo; one son, Dominic Young of Japan; and two daughters, Natasha Maria and Juanita Young Cook, both of New Zealand.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Thursday in Palm Mortuary, 7400 W. Cheyenne Ave.
