Nine hopefuls filed for political office on Friday including two Green candidates and an Independent American.
Kathryn Rusco, a Reno resident and Green Party member filed to run for the U.S. Senator, and Charles Law, another Reno Green, has put in a bid for the District 2 Congressional seat.
Independent American, Daniel Hansen, of Sparks, will provide some of the competition for the District 2 seat after he, too, filed on Friday.
