Deadline today for Nevada election filing

Hundreds of Nevadans had filed by the end of last week to run for Congress, the state Legislature, county and city councils, school boards, judgeships and general improvement districts.

Officials at both Republican and Democratic party offices say more were expected today, but couldnt say for sure who and in what races.

While some potential candidates waited to see who else signed up before they filed, some still were trying to decide whether or not they wanted to run.
