Sentencing set for Bushyhead Sr.

U.S. District Judge David Hagen set an Aug. 29 sentencing date for William Bushyhead Sr., who was found guilty Friday by a federal jury of murdering Timothy Gardner, 27.
Gardner was sleeping with Bushyhead's former girlfriend, Carey Ziegler, at her home when he was stabbed with a knife.
At the time, Bushyhead was on parole for the false imprisonment of Ziegler in 1996.
Police said he walked away from a residential drug treatment program two days before the stabbing.
Police found a blood-covered Bushyhead outside a nearby home drinking a beer. The knife used to kill Gardner was close by, police said.
